General Rules and Code of Conduct
There will be no swearing, flaming, or intentional wrecking.
Chatting during qualifying sessions is prohibited.
Take it easy on the first lap, show patience, and give plenty of room allowing the field to spread out.
Leaders must pass with care when lapping slower cars.
Please keep chat to a minimum; It is suggested that all chat during the race be race-related only.
All TNT drivers must use only one online handle (for scoring purposes), one carfile name, and one paintjob/sponsor per half season.
There will be no warning for over-aggressive driving. Drivers are expected to know better and to respect the other drivers on the track.
Penalties for rules violations may range from a drive through on restart to the most serious penalty, a ban from future TNT racing.
Warp
A high speed internet connection is strongly advised to compete in TNT. If a driver has warp issues, he is expected to do what ever possible not to intefere with non-warping cars. ie, pull way out of the groove, or drive at the end of the pack.
Attendence
Attendence is an important part of TNT. If a driver will miss, or misses, 3 TNT events they risk being removed from the drivers roster. It is the drivers responsibility to notify TNT of his/her intensions regarding the league. Driver removal will be at the discretion of TNT.
Two-Incident Rule (TIR)
If a TNT driver causes two incidents that each result in a caution flag, that driver is required to pull into the pits and retire from that event.
If a TNT driver causes two incidents that each result in a caution flag and retires immediately, their scoring will stop at the time of their second incident.
If a TNT driver fails to retire after causing two incidents that each result in a caution flag, their scoring will stop at the time of their first incident.
IC POINT SYSTEM
Each driver begins with the maximum 8 points provided. For each incident a driver causes, 2 points will be deducted. For each race a driver completes without receiving any incidents, the driver will receive 1 point.
If a driver reaches zero or negative IC points, he must serve a race suspension(s). For each suspended race, the driver earns 1 IC point. A driver must have at least 1 IC point to run.
Example 1:
Driver X has the maximum 8 points, and causes 2 incidents this race. He now has 4 points. He then completes 4 races with no incidents, and has rebuilt his IC points to the maximum of 8.
Example 2
Driver Y has 4 points. He collects 2 IC calls. He now has 0 points, and must serve a 1 race suspension. For the suspended race the driver earns 1 IC point. He then returns with 1 point and collects an IC. He now has –1 point and must serve a 2 race suspension to get his IC points to 1. He then returns with 1 point, runs 7 races in a row, with no IC calls against him. The driver would then have the maximum 8 points.
This is in addition to the 2 IC rule. If a driver causes 2 incidents, he must retire regardless of available IC points .
Racing Related Rules
No Passing into turn 1 on restarts.
With less than ten laps to go, all lapped traffic will be required to drive through the pits to allow the lead lap cars to line up nose to tail.
TNT drivers are expected to use patience and good judgment when attempting a pass on the first lap after a restart.
There will be no racing back to the line under caution. The only exception will be with ten or less laps remaining in the race.
If you have sustained damage beyond race ability, please retire from the event as a courtesy to the other drivers
TNT will continue to evolve to try to provide CLEAN and FUN racing. TNT's ‘governing body' reserves all rights to change it's policies at any time without notice .
